From the High Steppe of the Arkhangai Provence we source Yak Down and from the Gobi we source lamb fleece. Slippers are 60% Yak Down and 40% lamb fleece. This combination gives the wearer soft, warm feet and nice clean floors!
The slippers have traditional Mongolian stitching on them, padding in the soles and a slightly thicker heel. The bottom sole is made from a man-made suede like material (called Elig in Mongolian) which under weeks of testing is hard wearing but is not recommended for outside wearing. The slippers hold their shapewell, but will “give” a little over time.
One lady in Mongolia makes these by hand so they're a rare find!
